SLCAP is a zero tolerance neighbourhood active protection programme for residents and business owners of Senderwood, Linksfield & St Andrews. It is a non-profit organization.

This innovative, multi-faceted initiative is designed to keep criminal activities out of our suburbs. SLCAP is proudly by the neighbourhood, for the neighbourhood.

It includes a single point of contact for all residents including an Incident Command & Control Centre ("ICCC"), high performance vehicles patrolling our suburbs on a 24/7/365 basis and Spotter Points at a number of locations.

SLCAP is endorsed by various SAPS Station Commissioners, community policing forums and CSO ("Community Security Organisation").

SLCAP Single point of contact

0861 227 227

Call the control room to report any suspicious activity, provide information or report an emergency. We want to anticipate criminal activity and therefore need you to constantly REPORT ALL SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY. If you are in any doubt at all, rather make the call. Please also encourage your family members, domestic workers, neighbours and colleagues in the area to do the same and ensure that the number is prominently displayed in your home and saved onto your cell phones.

Incident control & command centre
The Incident Control & Command Centre("ICCC") is manned by well-trained personnel 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. The ICCC will rapidly and efficiently co-ordinate your call, determine the required response and manage the response team.

Patrol vehicles
Our armed patrol vehicles are specially modified and equipped. They operate on a random patrol basis and are deployed by the Incident Control & Command Centre ("ICCC"), based on calls to the ICCC and information and intelligence derived via the ICCC.

Spotter points
All residents should drive through one of the 4 spotter points in the area to avoid residents being followed. The spotter points are specifically located in areas with low traffic volumes. If you are suspicious or feel that you are being followed, take the extra two or three minutes and drive through a spotter point. Flash your vehicle lights and hoot at the spotter point and our tactical response officers will respond.
